Therapy Fees & Insurance
Therapy is an investment in your mental health, your relationships, and your ability to function at your best. Many people seek therapy after trying to push through stress, burnout, or anxiety on their own for a long time. Taking the step to work with a therapist is often about creating meaningful, lasting change rather than continuing to manage things the same way. If you have any questions about fees or insurance associated with therapy, I offer a free no-risk consultation.

Lyra Benefits
I am a contracted provider with the Employee Assisted Program (EAP) Lyra Health. An EAP (such as Lyra) may cover all or part of the fees associated with therapy. An EAP additional to one’s health insurance plan.
Lyra beneficiaries can go to care.lyrahealth.com to confirm their eligibility and benefits
If you plan to use Lyra benefits, please visit my Lyra Therapy Information page to learn about the process, authorization, and scheduling using Lyra benefits.
Out-of-Network Insurances / PPO Insurances
If I am not in-network with your insurance company, I can provide a monthly superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Please contact your insurance company to ask about out-of-network mental health benefits for therapy.
Payment
If you will be using cash pay or out-of-pocket payment for services:
The initial intake appointment is $300
Subsequent 55-minute psychotherapy sessions are $250
I accept credit cards, debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards. Payment is processed at the time of the appointment. I use a HIPAA compliant service IvyPay to process electronic transactions.
Session Options
Sessions are available in-person in San Diego and via secure telehealth for clients in California, Washington, Texas, and Florida.
Cancellation Policy
Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Therapy appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice may be charged the full session fee. Please note that most insurances do not cover late cancellations or no-shows.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services. You can ask for a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling a service.
Getting Started
The first step is to schedule a brief consultation call to discuss what you are looking for and determine whether we would be a good fit for working together. If we decide to move forward, we will schedule an initial intake appointment and you will complete intake paperwork through a secure online system.
If you have any questions about therapy fees or using your insurance for care, I offer a free, no-obligation telephone consultation to answer any questions.
